Pop splits

Pop Splits is a radio and television broadcast by Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg (RBB).

The Berlin production company der apparat developed the P op Splits (speaker: Michael Pan , since 2015: Peter Hofmann) for the radio station Radio Eins . The genesis of a popular piece of music is told in one minute.

At the end of October 2011, the series was discontinued after 1000 episodes were produced. Since then, about two issues per week have been broadcast on radioeins .

The show has been released as both a book and a CD over the years .

In the summer of 2006, the format was implemented by Michael Reinhard (director) and Jim Rakete (director of photography) for television (RBB). The programs have a running time of 15 minutes.

In contrast to the "radio version", the background stories are written by the musicians themselves. a. von Fehlfarben , Die Toten Hosen , Fettes Brot and Ina Deter .

From 2004 the pop splits could also be seen live on stage for a few years. Especially in the Berlin-Brandenburg area, Michael Pan and the band "RockCopyRats" from Berlin played on smaller and larger stages with the "Pop Splits Live Show".

The Pop Splits Live Show has been back in the radioeins broadcasting area since 2017, now with Peter Hofmann and the "RockCopyRats".
