Porocarcinoma

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Porokarzinom ( latin , porus 'from ancient Greek , πὀρος', poros , opening, hole, pore ) is a rare, malignant , the intraepidermal portion of eccrine sweat glands excretory duct outgoing, infiltrative growing tumor . Retrograde ingrowth into the epidermis is characteristic . Sometimes porocarcinomas also arise from the degeneration of benign sweat gland tumors ( poromas ).

Porocarcinoma occurs primarily in older people, preferably on the ends of the limbs (hand, foot). Clinically, the tumor shows an ill-defined, ulcerated modified node with an actinic keratosis , or with a squamous cell carcinoma may be confused. At the time of diagnosis, metastases of the lymph nodes with lymphedema are often already present. Metastases usually develop in other areas of the skin. Distant metastases in other organs that are spread via the blood do not occur until later.
