Porte d'Italie is an underground station on the Paris Métro . It is located below the Boulevard Masséna in the 13th arrondissement of Paris and is served by Métrolinie 7 . You can change to line 3 of the Paris tram at the aboveground tram stop of the same name. The station is named after the square of the same name. The Asian quarter is located nearby .
The station began operating on March 7, 1930 when the section of Line 10 (now Line 7) from Place d'Italie station to Porte de Choisy station opened. On April 26, 1931, the route of several lines in the south of Paris was changed, in which line 7 took over the southern section of line 10. On December 16, 2006, the tram stop above ground went into operation.
