Portugal current

The Portugal Current is a weak, moderately warm ocean current along the Portuguese coast in a southerly direction. North of the Canary Islands , the Portugal Current mixes with the Azores Current to form the Canary Current .

The Portugal Current is part of the large Atlantic current ring consisting of the Portugal Current, the Canary Islands Current, the North Equatorial Current, the Antilles Current, the Florida Current, the Gulf Stream and the Northeast Atlantic Current.
