Azores Current

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Azores Current is a warm ocean current in the northern subtropical Atlantic Ocean . It arises as a branch of the Gulf Stream ; about a quarter of the water mass of the Gulf Stream flows along the 30th to 38th parallel to the east. Southeast of the Azores, the now somewhat cooled Azores Current feeds a large part of the Canary Islands .
