Porvenir is a town in Uruguay .
geography
It is located in the Paysandú department in sector 2 . Porvenir is located southeast of the department capital Paysandú near Chacras de Paysandú and south of Esperanza . To the east, Estación Porvenir is the next larger settlement. The Arroyo Pantanoso Grande also flows southeast of the village .
