The Pošta Srbije ( Serbian : Пошта Србије Pošta Srbije ) is the postal company of Serbia. The history of the post began in 1840 when letters were transported through the country by so-called Tatars. The first postage stamp was issued in 1866 and in 1874 the Post and 21 other countries founded the Universal Postal Union in Bern .
