Postcommodity
Postcommodity (founded 2007 in the southwest of the United States ) is an artist collective consisting of Raven Chacon , Cristóbal Martínez and Kade L. Twist (* 1971). Postcommodity publishes installations that are often combined with sound .
The Land Art installation Repellent Fence became famous in 2015 . This almost 3 km long, temporary installation consisted of 26 fixed balloons , each 3 m in diameter and floating 100 m above the desert landscape between the states of Arizona and Mexico . The video A Very Long Line (2016) was shown at the 2017 Whitney Biennial . The inflatable sculpture Coyotaje was shown at Art in General in New York in 2017 . The Ears Between Worlds Are Always Speaking (2017) was installed at documenta 14 . For this, Postcommodity uses the loudspeakers of the acoustic weapon Long Range Acoustic Device and thus counteracts the actual purpose.
