Pound Puppies is a US-Canadian animated series and premiered on October 10, 2010 in the US on The Hub . The series is a remake of the popular Wauzis from the 1980s. The German premiere was on May 29, 2012 on the Disney Channel and has been running continuously since then. The first season was also shown on KiKA from November 16, 2012 to January 2, 2013 . The series has been running on Supper RTL since 2020. The series was produced by Hasbro Studios. The animation of the first 7 episodes was produced by 9 Story Entertainment, the rest of the series was taken over by Studio B Productions, which also produced the animation for the successful Hasbro series My Little Pony - Friendship is Magic .
On July 9, 2012, it was announced that the series was one of the winners of the CINE Golden Eagle Award .

"It is the dog itself", think Lucky and his four-legged friends and found the "Paw Club". The secret gang does everything in their power to do good in the shelter and to pass lonely dogs on to caring people.
The mixed breed dog Lucky, the boxer dog Cookie, the somewhat sleepy herding dog Shag, the Dachshund Strudel and the courageous Chihuahua Knurri live in the shelter. The cold-snouted friends founded an underground organization. You want to refer newcomers to the right people as quickly as possible. This only works in the strictest secrecy and with the help of a group of initiated squirrels. The motto of this secret organization called "The Paw Club" is: "A dog for every person, a person for every dog". As soon as a new baby dog has arrived, the paw club has already come up with a clever plan to convey the puppy.
