Pre-Akumite period

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The pre-Aksumite period in archeology is the period after the Neolithic , before the establishment of the empire of Aksum in central Africa . It is the beginning of the history of Ethiopia and is connected with the realm of Da'amot .

The first uses of iron and copper are found. It is uncertain whether there was also a Bronze Age here, or whether the Iron Age immediately followed the Neolithic . In any case, there are monumental architecture, inscriptions and imported luxury goods. This is often associated with the arrival of settlers from southern Arabia .
