Preparation dispenser
A preparation dispenser is a device that dispenses liquid soap , disinfectant or lotion in doses onto the hands. A dispenser is operated with the help of a lever arm or contactlessly via a sensor. Many dispensers work on the principle of a piston pump .
Most donors use hand, elbow, or forearm pressure on the lever arm. The built-in pump releases an exact amount of the contained solution. So-called euro dispensers are standardized European devices that hold suitable disposable containers from various manufacturers with a fixed thread size.
In the health sector in Germany, dispensers are used for hand disinfectants , which are considered medical devices . Identical hand wash dispensers are not considered medical devices, but are more susceptible to contamination than disinfectant dispensers. Both types of donor must therefore be processed in a certain way. The Commission for Hospital Hygiene and Infection Prevention (KRINKO) recommends equipping the dispenser with non-refillable containers (disposable containers).
