Próspero López Buchardo

Próspero López Buchardo (born July 2, 1883 in Buenos Aires , † March 8, 1964 ibid) was an Argentine composer and painter.

Buchardo is the younger brother of Carlos López Buchardo . He initially studied law, from 1904 to 1913 he traveled to Europe, where he visited Spain, the Netherlands, Germany, France and Italy. He studied painting in Paris and was largely self-taught as a cellist. He then worked in Buenos Aires as a cellist and composer.

He wrote several symphonic and stage works, a string and a saxophone quartet, songs , ballet music and piano pieces.
