The Praxias group was a group of Etruscan vase painters of the pseudo-red-figure style .

The Praxias group mainly decorated abdominal amphorae , neck amphorae , stamnoi , pelicas , craters , hydria , pitchers and single-handled kantharoi . Most of the surviving pieces of the group were found in Vulci , where the workshop of the group around its most important representative, the Praxias painter , is suspected. The shapes of the vessels and the painting techniques speak for this. The pictures shown by the group are based on the Greek myth, but cannot always be clearly assigned to the Greek myths. It is possible that only shapes are imitated, not actually pictorial subjects. The painter's works date to the second quarter of the 5th century BC. Chr. And were among the first Etruscans to receive the Attic red-figure technique. The artists probably had their workshop or workshops in Vulci.
