Prize for understanding and human rights

The International Prize for Human Rights and Understanding is an award for personalities who stand up against human rights violations and for tolerance towards those who think differently. It has been awarded by the Ulrich Zwiener Foundation, the Collegium Europaeum Jenense and the Friedrich Schiller University Jena since 1996 and is endowed with 2,500 euros in prize money.
