Prince's Island Park is an amusement and recreation park north of downtown Calgary in Alberta , Canada . The park is located on an island in the Bow River .

The park was named after Peter Anthony Prince, the founder of Eau Claire Lumber Mill. It was created in 1947 by the Prince family. The park spans 20 acres and has several pedestrian bridges that lead directly to downtown Calgary. In addition to green areas and parks, it offers benches and a view of the Calgary skyline. Canada geese and mallards have settled in the park .
