The Prince of Wales Range is a mountain range in the southwest of the Australian state of Tasmania . The mountain range is part of the Great Dividing Range and is located in the center of the Franklin Gordon Wild Rivers National Park , north of Lake Gordon .
Important mountains
The highest point is the centrally located Mount Humboldt , 1069 m high. Further to the south-west is the Olegas Bluff with a height of 633 m , while to the north-east the Princes Peak ( 1029 m ), the Diamond Peak ( 1066 m ) and the Observation Peak ( 952 m ) follow.
Rivers
The Denison River flows along the southeast flank of the Prince of Wales Range. The Erebus Rivulet and the Maxwell River accompany it on its northwest flank.
