The Princesse de Provence is a river cruise ship built in 1992 for the shipping company Peter Deilmann . They are used in the Rhone and Saône . In 2009 the ship was sold to a Swiss group of companies in the course of the Deilmann insolvency proceedings, along with six other river cruise ships of the shipping company.

At the end of 2016, the Princesse de Provence was sold to the shipping company Princesse de Provence Cruises GmbH & Co. KG (PdP Cruises) based in Heilbronn, a sister company of Favorit Reisen GmbH & Co. KG. The new owner transported the ship in an elaborate transfer tour through the Mediterranean, Atlantic, Biscay and North Sea into the river system of the Rhine-Main-Danube. Here the "Princess" will be used again from April 2018 after a thorough overhaul at an Austrian shipyard. [outdated]
