The Print Media Academy (PMA for short) is a congress center with office floors directly opposite Heidelberg Central Station . With a height of 50 meters, the building is the fourth tallest high-rise in Heidelberg and was built from 1998 to 2000 on behalf of Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG . It served as the company's training, training and event building and was inaugurated on April 14, 2000 by Federal Chancellor Gerhard Schröder . It has a square footprint of 37 x 37 meters and cost almost 80 million German marks to build. The Print Media Academy houses 26 seminar rooms and an auditorium for 200 people, which can be rented for events and congresses. There are offices on floors 6-10. On the top floor of the 12th floor is level12, which can be rented as an event location for up to 180 people. The building, which Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG sold in the past, was bought back by Heideldruck in 2017 from LBBW's subsidiary Südleasing . The S-Printing Horse , the largest horse sculpture in the world, stands on the forecourt of the property . In 2020, Heidelberger Druckmaschinen withdrew its last employees from the city of Heidelberg. This means that there are no longer any company employees working in the Print Media Academy. The further proceedings of Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG with the PMA are not yet known.
