SüdLeasing is a German financial services institute based in Stuttgart . It was founded in 1970 and is wholly owned by the Landesbank Baden-Württemberg . The company is one of the largest manufacturer-independent leasing companies in Germany. Südleasing is also one of the 500 largest German companies in terms of turnover. Südleasing is a member of the Federal Association of German Leasing Companies .

history

The company has existed in its current form since 1989. In that year, the Südwestdeutsche Landesbank merged several leasing companies under the umbrella of "SüdLeasing GmbH", based in Mannheim and Stuttgart. At the beginning of the 1990s, Südleasing was already the largest leasing company in Baden-Württemberg and was one of the ten largest representatives of the industry in all of Germany. Südleasing has been headquartered at Pariser Platz in Stuttgart's Europaviertel since 2003 . A new office building was erected there, which is air-conditioned using geothermal and district heating , among other things . In addition to the business in Europe, Südleasing recorded strong growth in the USA from 2005 onwards . The company grew faster than the market, and subsidiaries were founded in Canada , Mexico and Romania, for example . SüdLeasing has been focusing on Germany since 2012.

Products

The sales channels are divided into the areas of vendors, own and bank sales and brokers. The company focuses on large-volume investment business: This includes, for example, construction machinery, production systems, printing and packaging machines and vehicles, as well as information and communication technology. The target group of Südleasing are primarily medium-sized companies and manufacturers of capital goods with group customers. Südleasing basically offers two types of financing: leasing and hire purchase . For so-called vendor leasing, Südleasing works directly with the manufacturer of movables in the area of sales financing .
