Pro Zukunft ( own spelling prozukunft ) is the book magazine of the non-profit organization Robert Jungk Library for questions about the future and was founded in 1987 by Robert Jungk . Every quarter, the magazine presents over 30 new non-fiction publications. The top ten future literature has been awarded annually since 2014.

Characteristic

Pro Zukunft presents non-fiction books that deal with future-oriented debates. Alternating core areas include politics , economics , technology , ecology , sociology , philosophy , psychology and cultural theories .

The majority of the reviews come from the academic staff of the Robert Jungk Library for Future Issues. However, guest contributions by external researchers are frequently included. The editor-in-chief is the cultural scientist Katharina Kiening.

All reviews since 1987 can be found in the digital database Pro Zukunft. Articles from current issues are fed in a few weeks after the publication date and made available to the public free of charge.

Top ten future literature

Every December, the magazine publishes the top ten future literature, i.e. a list of non-fiction books that is classified as particularly relevant to the future. The Top Ten format was launched in 2004, and the Robert Jungk Library has been cooperating with changeX, the online magazine for future ideas, since 2018.
