Pro Pinball: The Web

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Pro Pinball: The Web is the first of four titles in the Pro Pinball series . It is a pinball computer game developed by Cunning Development and published by Empire Interactive . It was released between 1996 and 2000. The four games in the series also include Timeshock! (1997), Big Race USA (1998) and Fantastic Journey (1998). Each game contains exactly one pinball table with a special theme, this is expressed by the title.

The special thing about The Web is that the graphics are based on an already rendered 3D model. The game had relatively good graphics properties for the time, even at a very fast game speed. The game runs on PCs with MS-DOS or Windows . A resolution of 1024 × 768 is supported with 32,768 colors.

Structure of the game

Pinball elements

The pinball table is mostly blue, it has two ramps on the left and right and three bumpers on the top left. However, there are also non-classic elements, such as the so-called ball rescue , which, when active, prevents the ball in the left outlane from being lost, the ball rescue consists of a plunger that shoots the ball back into the game. The aim of the game is to reach the Ultimate Showdown , for this the five elements have to be collected beforehand. The first of these is the Missions element , which is collected by completing the six missions, whether successful or not. The second is called Ultra , you can achieve it when you reach the given goal in multiball mode. The third element is called power . Power levels are levels on this table that can be reached by shooting a lane after activating Power. This gives you small achievements such as: B. the Super Ball Rescue , which never has to be reloaded, and an element for the showdown at the tenth level. The fourth element is the bonus that can be achieved above the bumper. To secure the element here, you have to bring the bonus one level higher after setting it to x10.
