Probe Ridge is a striking, snow-free and terraced mountain ridge on the east coast of the West Antarctic Alexander I Island . It forms part of the northern flank of the Viking Valley .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named him in 1993 after the two spacecraft ( English space probes ) of the US Viking -Programms that on the planet in 1976 Mars had landed.
