The Journal of Zoology is a monthly scientific publication on international zoology . The magazine is published by the Zoological Society of London . The magazine appeared since 1830, first under the title Proceedings of the Zoological Society of London and then from 1965 to 1984 as the Journal of Zoology: Proceedings of the Zoological Society of London , before it got its current name. The editorial team now also publishes an audio podcast that covers the most important articles in each issue.

In 2009, the BioMedical & Life Sciences Division of the Special Libraries Association listed the Journal of Zoology as one of the 100 Most Influential Journals in Biology and Medicine and named it one of the 10 Most Influential Journals.
