Prodigal Sunn

Prodigal Sunn (born in Brooklyn , USA ; real life Lamar Ruff ) is an American rapper and producer. He also appears as an actor. He is a member of the Sunz of Man group and belongs to the immediate community of the Wu-Tang Clan . In Germany he gained notoriety mainly through his collaboration with DJ Tomekk on his single Ich lebe für Hip-Hop .

biography

Prodigal Sunn grew up as the only child and cousin of Wu-Tang Clan co-founder RZA in Brooklyn. In his youth he was still known under his pseudonym Sun of Man , his friend Killah Priest baptized him, inspired by Bible verse 32 from Luke chapter 15, to the name Prodigal Sunn . With his colleagues Killah Priest, Hell Razah and Sixty Secon Assassin , he founded the group Sunz of Man. With his band he released several studio albums on which he also worked as a producer.

He gradually began to make a name for himself with his Conscious Rap and also gained a reputation in Europe through features in France with IAM and in Germany with DJ Tomekk. In 2005 his first and so far only solo album Return of the Prodigal Sunn was released . He was also featured as a guest rapper on albums by Wu-Tang Clan members such as GZA or Masta Killa . From 2010 he published three mixtapes, all of which were offered as free downloads. He also works as an actor.
