With around 350 field service technicians, Profectis was the largest manufacturer-independent electrical customer service in Germany.

Profectis operated a nationwide nationwide network and installed, repaired and maintained large electrical appliances made from white goods . As a factory customer service from various manufacturers, Profectis provided services for end customers within the framework of the statutory warranty and warranty extensions as well as in the OOW area. In addition, Profectis provided services in the commercial environment.

The company was founded in 1969 by Gustav Schickedanz under the name Quelle Technical Customer Service as a customer service organization of Quelle . In 1999, the merger with Karstadt also resulted in the merger with advice and action , the customer service of Neckermann and Karstadt. In 2000, customer service was outsourced under the name Profectis GmbH and placed under the source.

After the Quelle bankruptcy in 2010, Profectis was taken over by RTS Elektronik Systeme GmbH in Wolnzach . In 2012 TechnikService 24 GmbH (TS24), the former technical customer service of the Otto Group , was also taken over and integrated by RTS Elektronik Systeme. Media-Saturn took over the company at the end of 2015 .

In September 2019, Media-Saturn announced that it would be giving up the Profectis brand at the end of 2019.
