At Liechtenstein schools, profile schools are set up in the lower secondary level. These schools will have a greater degree of autonomy than the previous schools. The development of a core curriculum, a special educational offer, more personal responsibility for teachers and the duty to be accountable are among the characteristics of the profile school. One of the core tasks of the teachers is to optimally promote all students with regard to their talents and interests and to arouse their enthusiasm for lifelong learning.

The profile schools will not lead to the abolition of the other schools in the lower secondary level as part of the school and profile development project at lower secondary level (SPES I). Rather, together with them, you will enrich Liechtenstein's educational offer.
