Progressive Party of Manitoba

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Progressive Party of Manitoba ( French : Parti progressivste du Manitoba ) was a Canadian political party . It was founded in 1920. The party developed from the agrarian movement United Farmers of Manitoba ( German : United Farmers of Manitoba ). The party saw itself as an advocate of the Canadian farmers and their rights, which had to be implemented and expanded.

In 1932 the party disbanded due to insufficient support and no success. One reason was that it was only active in Manitoba . In the years of its existence, John Bracken was chairman.
