Project X is a free software for separation (demultiplexing, or "demux") and follow-up of digital television -Datenströmen (DVB) present as a file record.
description
Project X is suitable for unmixing video, audio and other data from an MPEG-2 transport stream. Like a hardware decoder, Project X breaks down MPEG2 data streams into their components, checks them for errors and ensures precise synchronization.
The following stream formats are supported (single TS / multiple TS and PS):
- DVB MPEG-2 Transport Stream ( DVB MPEG2 TS ), MPTS ( Multiple Program Transport Stream )
- Packet Video Audio (PVA, PSV, PSA, PAV)
- MPEG Program Stream (MPEG1 / 2 PS)
- Linux Video Disc Recorder (Linux VDR)
- Packetized Elementary Stream (PES RAW Streams)
- Elementary Stream (ES Streams)
A conversion to VDR / M2P / PVA / TS is also possible.
As far as possible, all common European DVB picture, sound and subtitle formats are processed.
Supported Platforms
Project X is based on Java and is therefore platform-independent. The software has an interface in English and German .
Program code
In order to be able to use and test the latest developments from Project X, the latest Project X files can be downloaded from the "CVS Repository" at SourceForge . There are various programs, including "TortoiseCVS", that perform exactly such tasks.
