Promachos
Promachos (Greek "fighter") was an epithet in Greek mythology for gods and heroes regarded as "fighter", later also the proper name of mythical figures and historical persons:
- Promachos, nickname of Hermes in the Boeotian city of Tanagra
- Promachos, nickname of Heracles in the Boeotian city of Thebes
- Athena Promachos , nickname of Athena
- Promachos (son of Heracles) , a son of Heracles and the Sican king's daughter Psophis and twin brother of Echephron
- Promachos (son of Parthenopaios) , a son of Parthenopaios and, according to some sources, one of the epigones
- Promachos (son of Alegor) , a son of Alegor from Boeotia, died at the hand of the Trojans Akamas
