Promachos (son of Aison)
Promachos ( Greek Πρόμαχος ) is in Greek mythology the son of Aison and the Polymede or Amphinome .
He is still a child when his older brother Jason sets out to lead the Argonauts to win the Golden Fleece . When Pelias , Aison's half-brother, mistakenly spreads the news of the failure of the Argonauts and Jason’s death, both parents commit suicide. Promachos is killed by Pelias.
