Prometheus Global Media is an American B2B media group. The company was founded in 2009 when the Nielsen Company sold its media division to financial investor Guggenheim Partners .

Prometheus Global Media publishes, among others, the industry papers Adweek , Back Stage , Billboard , Film Journal International and The Hollywood Reporter .

In 2014 Prometheus Global Media took over the job advertisement portal Mediabistro .
