The Promontorium Laplace or Cape Laplace is one of the two capes at the ends of the Montes Jura on the edge of the Sinus Iridum on the moon . Cape Laplace is north of Sinus Iridum, opposite the second Cape Promontorium Heraclides (Cape Heraclides). It is named after the French astronomer Pierre-Simon Laplace .
