As pruritic urticarial papules and plaques of pregnancy (abbr .: PUPPP of English. Pruritic urticarial papules and plaques of pregnancy ) is defined as a pregnancy-associated dermatosis that occurs in first-time mothers in the last trimester of pregnancy.

This leads to very itchy rashes on the stomach, which usually heal spontaneously after giving birth. They typically start in the stretch marks on the abdomen and then in some cases spread to other areas of the body. While urticaria is usually in the foreground at the beginning of the rash , the papules and plaques dominate in the further course . Pemphigoides gestationis is a disease with a similar complexion . The therapy is symptom-related, for example using corticoids, the etiology is unclear, the prognosis is favorable.
