Psí vojáci (German: dog soldiers ) is a Czech band that was founded in 1979 by school colleagues Filip Topol , David Skála and Jan Hazuka, who were then only 13 years old . In the 1980s the group was temporarily not allowed to perform and worked under the name PVO (Psí vojáci osobně - dog soldiers personally). In 2011 the band was dissolved. She experienced a brief comeback in 2012 until Topol's death in 2013 . The band name refers to the Indian warriors with the name dog soldiers from the novel Little Big Man by the American writer Thomas Berger .
