PSIKYO was a Japanese development studio , the video games for game consoles developed. The company was founded on July 17, 1992 and was bought by X-Nauts in mid-2002 . Psikyo mainly made games that belonged to the genre of arcade games and shoot 'em ups .

Most of the time the same engine was used for the games . The two-dimensional bitmap graphics made detailed images possible, but at the end of the company's history it was only feasible with considerable effort, as more and more precise and higher-resolution drawings were required. The reason for this was the competition with more modern 3D graphics technologies.

The best known is the Strikers series, which was also implemented for the PlayStation . Strikers 1945 II even appeared in regular stores in Europe, but not until 2003 after the company was discontinued.
