Psy 4 de la rime

Psy 4 de la rime is a French hip hop group from Marseille with African roots.

etymology

"Psy 4" is a homophone to psychiatrists ( French for psychiatrists ).

history

Psy 4 de la rime consists of the musicians Soprano (Saïd M'Roumbaba), Segnor Alonzo (Kassim Djae), Don Vicenzo (Illiassa Issilame) and DJ Sya Styles (Rachid Ait Baar, 1978-2015). The group became known through a documentary by Arte . After this documentary, their appearances were sold out and they recorded a few songs on the 361 Records label and were also featured on its La Cosca Mixptape in 1999, and a year later on DJ Kheops' Sad Hill Impact compilation. In 2002 Psy 4 de la rime released their first album Block Party , which sold over 100,000 copies. The single Le son de bandits was also a success in the French hip-hop scene. In 2005 the album Enfants De La Lune was released. Soprano then began his solo career in 2006 with the album Street . The album Les Cités D'Or was released in early 2008 and reached number 1 in the French charts.
