Soprano, who has Comorian roots, founded the group Psy 4 de la rime , a French hip-hop group , in 1994 . They were discovered and produced by IAM head Akhenaton. Psy 4 de la Rime consisted of the musicians Soprano (Saïd M'Roumbaba), Segnor Alonzo (Kassimou Djae), Don Vicenzo (Illiassa Issilame) and DJ Sya Styles (Rachid Ait Baar). The group became known through a documentary by Arte . After this documentary, their performances were sold out and they recorded a few songs on the 361 Records label (Akhenaton's label) and were also featured on his La Cosca mixtape in 1999, and a year later on the "Sad Hill Impact" compilation by DJ Kheops (I AM). In 2002 Psy 4 de la Rime released their first album "Block Party".
The single "Le son de bandits" also became a success in the French hip-hop scene. In 2005 the album "Enfants De La Lune" was released. The last album by Psy 4 de la Rime was released in early 2008 "Les Cités D'Or" and reached number 1 on the French album charts.
Soprano began his solo career in 2005.

The 2008 single Victory is used in the video game FIFA 09 and also appeared in the game's soundtrack.
In October 2010 Soprano released his second solo album "La Colombe" (German: Die Taube / Friedenstaube). The album, for which he also undertook a concert tour through France, went straight to number 1 on the French album charts. The first single was: Crazy / Darwa. Originally "La Colombe" was supposed to be a double album called "La Colombe et le Corbeau" (translated: "The Dove and the Raven"), but he decided to make two separate albums out of it, so that the album "Le Corbeau" later, in 2011, appeared.
In October 2010 Soprano traveled through Germany for the first time in the form of a promotional tour. In February 2011 Soprano went on the "La Colombe" tour again and toured Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Slovakia.
