Ptahmosis (sculptor)
Ptahmose , also Ptehmes , was an ancient Egyptian sculptor .
Ptahmosis probably lived in the 18th dynasty (1550–1292 BC), possibly earlier. He worked as a chief builder in Memphis . He is only known from an ear statue that shows him in a prayer position; it was discovered during the excavations by Flinders Petrie . It is unclear whether Ptahmosis created this statue himself or was only depicted.
