The Puchalski Peak ( Polish Szczyt Puchalskiego ) is a 190 m high and isolated mountain on King George Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It looms between Nature Conservation Glacier and Rybak Glacier on the shores of Admiralty Bay .
Polish scientists named him in 1980 after the Polish filmmaker and author Włodzimierz "Włodek" Puchalski (1909–1979), who died on January 19, 1979 while working in a penguin colony not far from the Arctowski station . His grave is one of the Historic Sites and Monuments in Antarctica (HSM-51).
