Puerto Banus
Puerto Banús is a marina in Marbella .
The port, built by José Banús, was inaugurated in 1970. In the 1990s, the port facility was expanded by several buildings by the mayor Jesús Gil, amid great protests by environmentalists .
Today the port is a meeting place for wealthy citizens. The mooring fee is sometimes over 500,000 euros per berth and year. The largest berths are (as of 2019) up to 50 meters long.
