The punching ball is a pear-shaped ball, usually made of synthetic leather , which is attached to a resilient frame, which in turn stands on the floor or is fixed there.

There is a similarity to the boxing pear, which is attached to the ceiling or wall without a frame, as well as to the double end ball (again in spherical shape) by means of a rubber band on two opposite sides, through which the ball is vertically between the floor and ceiling or horizontally ( for example between two walls) is kept in tension.

All of these devices are used for fist and foot training and are intended to improve punching power and quick reactions .
