Punta Prima is a district of the municipality of Sant Lluís, dominated by tourism, on the southeastern tip of the Balearic island of Menorca .
The place is located 5 km south of Sant Lluís directly on a fine sandy beach about 150 m long and 30 m wide, protected by the offshore island of Illa de l'Aire . The fine, white sand was also known as "Sandy Bay" during the English rule over the island.
The landmark of Punta Prima is the Torre de Son Ganxo , a defense tower from the late 18th century that is now used as a youth hostel .
