The Nightcrawlers

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Nightcrawlers were a musical group from America that composed and played exclusively electronic music .

The group was founded in 1980 by Peter Gulch, who previously played with the groups "Xisle" and "The Ministry of Inside Things". Other members were Tom Gulch and Dave Lunt. "The Nightcrawlers" were considered to be one of the most active electronics groups in the US, they released more than 35 cassettes and three long-playing records until they were dissolved in 1991.

Thanks to the commitment of the Berlin artist Mario Schönwälder , a double CD was released in 1997 on his Manikin label with the most important pieces by the Nightcrawlers.

The style of the three Americans was significantly influenced by the Berlin school , they are considered the "best tangerine dream clones of the eighties" (Mario Schönwälder).
