The Nightcrawlers are a British house music project by producer , DJ and singer John Robinson Reid (born September 6, 1967 in Glasgow ) together with Hugh Jude Brankin, Ross Campbell and Graham McMillan Wilson.
Career
John Reid formed the duo This Way Up with Roy Hay, formerly at Culture Club , in the late 1980s , before working as a songwriter for Bad Boys Inc. and Eternal . He founded his dance project Nightcrawlers in the early 1990s. The breakthrough came in 1993 with the second song "Push the Feeling On", which reached number 80 on the Billboard Hot 100 and stayed in the charts for 15 weeks. In the UK Singles Chart , the original version only came in 22nd. The great success came there two years later with the MK Mixes for '95 by Marc Kinchen, which rose to position 3 in Great Britain and placed in the top ten across Europe could. From then on they traded as Nightcrawlers featuring John Reid . The successor single Surrender Your Love was able to build on the success and brought further hit parade placements, among other things it was the second top ten hit in the UK. After that, international interest declined and other top 40 hits such as Don't Let the Feeling Go , Let's Push It , Should I Ever (Fall in Love) and Keep On Pushing Our Love , a collaboration with singer Alysha Warren, limited mainly on their homeland.
After that it was quiet about the Nightcrawlers , who only returned to the charts in 1999 with Never Knew Love . The dance classic Push the Feeling On entered the German single charts again in 2003 in a new remix and in 2012 in a new recording by the Glamrock Brothers with the Sunloverz . A mix by Rosabel & JCA brought the song to number 1 on the dance / club play songs charts in the USA in 2004. A comeback attempt by the Nightcrawlers in 2011 with the single Cryin 'over You supported by Taio Cruz was unsuccessful.
The Nightcrawlers were musically influenced by bands such as Latin Head Hunters, C + C Music Factory , Bobby Orlando and Man Parrish .
