C + C Music Factory
C + C Music Factory was a dance music project that had a worldwide hit with Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now) in 1990. The acronym "C + C" in the name stands for the surnames of the two producers Robert C livillés and David B. C ole, who founded the project in 1989 and signed the singers.
history
The first album Gonna Make You Sweat was recorded in 1990. Through the voice of the rapper Freedom Williams , the two producers Clivillés and Cole managed to fuse hip-hop and club sound, which made the album a success. The three hit singles Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now) , Here We Go and Things That Make You Go Hmmmm ... were at the top of the charts worldwide in 1991. After this success, Freedom Williams left the project to pursue an unsuccessful solo career start. Clivillés and Cole released their greatest remixes by other artists (including Pride by the Irish rock band U2 ). They released their second album in the summer of 1994 under the title Anything Goes! , which was not as successful as its predecessor, because a real hit single was missing. This was the last album of the two, as David B. Cole died on January 24, 1995 of meningitis .
