David Cole (music producer)

David Bryon Cole (born June 3, 1962 - January 24, 1995 in New York City , USA ) was an American music producer , keyboard player and DJ .

In 1985 Cole worked as a DJ in New York's Better Days Club, where he met Robert Clivillés. The two became friends and started producing music together. Their debut, the house medley Do It Properly , was published in 1987 together with David Morales and Chep Nuñez under the name "2 Puerto Ricans, a Blackman and a Dominican". As the producer duo "Clivillés & Cole", the musicians were internationally successful in the late 1980s and early 1990s. One of her most popular projects is C + C Music Factory .

In 1994, Cole received a Grammy for Whitney Houston's album The Bodyguard . He worked for Mariah Carey , Aretha Franklin and Seduction , among others . Cole died in 1995 from the effects of meningitis.
