description

It is very noticeable due to its strong red color. On the rather small disc, there are usually five, rarely six or seven round arms with a length of 8 to 15 cm. The ambulacral channel on the underside can be closed, which further emphasizes the curve of the arms. The skeletal plates and the spines of up to 1.5 mm in length are completely covered by the glandular skin.
