Puschwitz is a district of the town of Belgern-Schildau in the district of Northern Saxony in Saxony .

history

The place was first mentioned in 1443 as Boscherwicz and was under the rule of Mühlberg until 1520 , from which the ducal Albertine, from 1547 electoral Saxon office of Mühlberg emerged . From 1559 to 1570 Puschwitz was briefly part of the Meißen diocese , then again to the Meißen office in the Electorate of Saxony . In 1815 the place became Prussian and belonged to the Torgau district of the Merseburg administrative district. Puschwitz has been part of the Free State of Saxony since 1990.

In the village there was a manor that was owned by the war chief Hans von der Pforte until 1651 . In 1711 the estate changed to the von Dieskau family . During the land reform in 1945 it was owned by the Neubürger family.
