Pushmataha , even Apushim-alhtala (* 1764 on Noxuba River, Mississippi ; † 24. December 1824 in Washington, DC ), was a chief of the Choctaw - Indians .

He was born on the Noxuba River (Mississippi). Fought as Lieutenant Colonel at the side of General Andrew Jackson against the Muskogee Indians. Pushmataha died presumably of flu in Washington DC.
