Pvll ( Engl. To pull "pull" =) is the debut album of the style pop quintet Wive . It was released on February 5, 2010 via Exile on Mainstream.

Style and reception

The band processed numerous influences on “Pvll”; for example Mario Karl von Musik himself states:

“Your album seems somehow abstract, but again very intimate. A sound painting in a minor key and a true melancholy beauty. The band's sound sounds quite bulky at first and the songs only gradually reveal their true core, which musically is a quite organic fusion of the elements electronica, dark-melodic pop, sensitive Americana, shoegazing charm and a touch of classical music . Always calm and calm and a warm finish. The singing often seems relatively remote and introverted, as if the male voice were singing for itself in a dark room, which has a great impact on the music. "

The melodies on “Pvll” are kept minimalist and sparsely orchestrated, which gives them a luxurious atmosphere; you can read about this in goon magazine:

“Recorded in living rooms, garages, and even closets,“ Pvll ”has become a pretty intimate affair. (...) Despite a large number of sound sources used, the attraction here is the reduction. Every drum hit and every violin harmony, every electronic noise and every use of a two-part has its own specific place and thus its own moment. It stays. "

The Latinized V instead of a U is used consistently in the spelling of the song titles and the album title ( e.g. Lazarvs instead of Lazarus ).

The first edition of the album appeared in a numbered version limited to 1,000 copies. It is sold in a hand-printed cloth bag, which, in addition to the number of the copy, also includes a list of tour dates for 2010.
